While teeth and oral health may seem common or boring to most, Dr. Cockerell recognizes how it can make a major impact on people’s lives every day. We’re so excited to bring him on to the Pleasant Grove Family Dentistry team and look forward to you getting to know him more during your next appointment. In the meantime, we hope that you’ll take a look at his bio below before you arrive!
Dr. Cockerell has always enjoyed bringing a smile to people’s faces, and now he’s able to do that through dentistry. Whether it’s by relieving pain from a toothache or giving them the care and attention they need to manage and overcome their dental anxiety, he’s here to make your dental experience as pleasant and comfortable as possible.
Following graduation from Pleasant Grove High School, Dr. Cockerell attended the University of Arkansas to complete his undergraduate education. From there, he enrolled into the Texas A&M College of Dentistry located in Dallas, TX.
Originally from Texarkana, Dr. Cockerell is happily married to his wife, Collins, who is also a native to the area. They both graduated from the same high school and even went to the same college together. They’re very happy to be back in their hometown and be a part of the community they hold so dear.
In his spare time, Dr. Cockerell enjoys hunting, fishing, traveling, spending time with his family and friends, cooking/grilling, and going to church. He greatly enjoys watching sports, whether it’s local teams or those on the professional level, including the Arkansas Razorbacks and Dallas Cowboys!
One interesting thing about him is he once had the opportunity to hold a Heisman trophy. He initially misjudged its weight and almost dropped it since it was so heavy. Considering how much he loves football, he thought it was a pretty cool experience!
